D.K. Price founded BaSix Knowledge Academy in October 1997 as an after-school tutorial center focused on strengthening six foundational academic skills. Today, it has evolved into a fully accredited private high school serving traditional and non-traditional 9th–12th grade students across Georgia. With over 8,000 graduates represented in colleges, universities, military branches, and the workforce nationwide, BaSix continues to be a pillar of opportunity for students statewide.

A graduate of Morehouse College, Mr. Price holds two master’s degrees and is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Communication Studies. He spent over a decade as a certified English and Theatre educator in public and private schools across Georgia and Alabama, and has taught at Georgia Perimeter College, Clark Atlanta University, and currently serves as a professor in the Communication Studies Department at Morehouse College.

Mr. Price is also a sought-after educational consultant, motivational speaker, and voice-over/public speaking coach, working with school systems, nonprofits, and clients across the entertainment industry.
